Birth | Family | Life

Messy. Authentic. Beautiful.

"I wish I had realized that family history is a perishable commodity. It disappears with time, as memories fade, and as loved ones pass on. I wish I had known that the most important aspect of family history is preserving a record of the present for the future." Guy Black

Currently enjoying the island life on OAHU, HI!

My kids are feral and I love the heck out of birth.

I follow my husband around the world like a total creeper and our family calls basically everything an adventure. I adore being a boy mom and every day my heart breaks a little seeing the grey on my pup’s faces take over.

I’m not pushy about a lot of things but being IN the photos is one of them. And it’s not about you, it’s about them. All the people in your life that love you. Because we don’t get do overs. This is our shot at it. Really at the core of it, that’s why I take the pictures.

I am so honored to be your Oahu Birth and Family Photographer and Filmmaker!!!

Your moments. Your Story.

I want to be more than just the photos. As a part of your birth team, a guest in your home or out with your family on an adventure, I’m here to be a friend who happens to have a camera and the ability to take pretty decent photos.

Our session will be fun. I want your kids to be KIDS. I want you to have the freedom to breathe deep and throw away expectations of performing for that ‘perfect picture’ and allow me to take on the task of showing you the beauty of your unique love just as it is.

Tiny human meltdowns, outfits, tantrums, getting that true smile and laugh not the fake one (although sometimes that’s a keeper too) I’m here on your team and we’ll dance and laugh through it together.

And at the end of it? You get your story. Not in a way where you’re forced to decide how many of your images you can afford, or picking between the ones you know you want to hang on your wall and the smaller details that are just as sweet but often tossed to the curb due to limitations. A large storytelling gallery might not be what everyone is looking for, and I get that. But I’m not for the people who want ‘just a couple of photos’. I’m for the people who’s kids want to re-watch their family films and for families who want their photos in albums to go through like their favorite bedtime story.

“That’s what we’re doing. Collecting these little moments. We don’t recognize them when we’re in them because we’re too busy looking forward and then we spend the rest of our lives looking back trying to remember”

— Jack (This Is Us)
