Casual photos, in the comfort of your home

Don’t get me wrong, I truly love the photos we have done through the years of my family. The adventures that tell of the locations the military has sent us. I am SO glad we have them on our walls. That we picked some of our favotire spots, I actually put on makeup and we all had coordinated outfits.

But

When I’m old and my memory is faded (even more) I’m going to miss our normals days. When I find myself in my phone scrolling through the years, the the little movies of what we did, the things I have completely forgotten about that really tug at my heart. I have this suspicion that maybe I’m not alone in this.

Do you need to have the perfect Pinterest house? No. Good light is key, if you’re in a dungeon…it gets tricky. But there’s always the outside! The front sidewalk your kiddos chalk over on summer days? Perfect. The trampoline or jumping through the sprinklers in the backyard? When you imagine a day off, where your kids choose whatever they wish…what is that going to look like in imagery?

The thing that I love most about in-home sessions is that there aren’t really any rules. The things you think are mundane are really where its at.

And if you have kids…who are kids…and don’t want to hang still for too long, let’s go outside and PLAY!

For those military families out there, Raises hand, its also an opportunity to give your children something to look back on. We have lived in 5 different states and 2 different countries…..8 houses total so far. The walls my son came home to were different than the ones he learned to walk in. At some stages, all I have is pictures to show them where they grew up.

So if you you’re thinking your everyday is more magical than you initially though, I would LOVE the opportunity to document it for you.
