Kualoa Regional Park | family of four
From the moment I received the completed questionnaire from this family…I knew it was going to be magical. I have a soft spot for families of four, with young children, who love fun and adventure. That last part I’ve learned is one of the key ingredients for the way I approach family photos. I firmly believe life is too short to stress the small stuff and the last thing I want is for these images, which will become a part of your families historical imagery, to be created anxiously. The cool thing about going with the flow is that it sets us up to bring out your authentic family.
So when your kids are constantly running back and forth for snacks (pro tip here…always bring non-messy snacks) that just gives us an opportunity to sneak in some photos of just mom and dad.
And if we need to snatch them up and make a game out of being together, that’s fine too!
Choosing locations that afford this type of exploration helps too. When its a backdrop you’re familiar with, the sentiment increases and when we have the opportunity to explore a bit it allows the kiddos to take the lead a bit!
If we’re dealing with small humans, there’s likely going to be big emotions sometime during our time together and that’s ok, but if you’re open to romping in the ocean and getting sandy with me, my hope is that our time together becomes not only a chance to update those family photos but to spend time together making memories.
