I always wonder…why not?
This is the start and story of LIFE. Like…you’re sitting here reading this because YOU were born. If you’re not already hooked and in the unsure boat, I’d love the chance to talk about why I think its wild we applaud wedding photos and cake smashes but I still get told ‘OH WOW, I would never want THAT photographed’ when I tell people what I do for a living.
Birth is exactly something that deserves to be photographed.
That? I’ll say it, birth isn’t summed up in blood and vulvas. Birth photography is SO much more. Its a record of your journey, visible, tangible proof of a transformation. A changed you, a created them. We grow up and we wonder so much about what in our life lead us to where we’re standing now and we can’t get to any of those moments with the start of it.
Birth is tears, and pain, and screams, and moans, and laughs and this consuming fire of ‘Holy crap I did it’
THAT is exactly what I photograph.

Birth Center Birth | 6 Month moments
Mom and dad both familiar with the medical field, enter into parenthood for the first time. With support from friends and family brought into the birth space and the love and joy between the two of them, an epidural that allowed enough movement to feel engaged and a birth center focused on the family.
